Santa Dash

On Sunday, a turnout of 7,411 people dressed as Santa Claus took part in the annual charity Santa Dash through UK's Liverpool city center – a 5 km (2.7mile) race that started at Pier Head and finished outside the Town Hall.

There were runners in blue suits, usually supporters of Everton FC, who refuse to run in the colors of their city rivals, Liverpool FC! There was even a mini dash for children aged under 12.

Also, thousands of pounds were expected to be raised for the dash’s two official charities – Cash For Kids and the ECHO’s Liverpool Unites, and not forgetitng other charities that benefited from individual runners.
