Big Bird is a Communist
This time around, Big Bird tweeting that he'd gotten the jab received a response (below) so deranged that I just had to blink twice to make sure I am reading it correctly.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
It's Christmas
I hope the US President can give his full attention to Joe Wong’s advice – the latter is telling Americans that building a wall didn’t work for China.
Donald Trump (left) should focus on building something that is more functional, more useful and more beneficial. Friday, January 15, 2016
The Case of the Disappearing Pig
Not only is Sus scrofa domesticus ‘haram’ to Malay-Muslims but even pictures depicting the hog is objectionable – if the Malays are not offended, their Chinese apologists certainly are!
That perhaps explains why GSC Movies deleted the pig character from billboards advertising the Hong Kong action fantasy film ‘Journey to the West – The Monkey King 2’ which is due to be screened come Lunar New Year on February 08, 2016.
This particular movie is a loose comedic re-interpretation of the renowned novel Journey to the West – a Chinese mythological novel written in the sixteenth century during the Ming Dynasty.
Anyway, the original movie poster showed the monk Tang Sanzang and his three disciples Monkey King Sun Wukong, Sha Wujing and Zhu Bajie. Zhu Bajie, who is part human and part pig, is pictured on the left of the Monkey King in the poster but is missing on billboards in KL. See photo below:
A sample of social media posts that had made fun of the issue:
GSC Movies were quick to step forward to point the finger at themselves. Chinese daily Oriental Daily News quoted their distribution manager Hou Xiu Chang as saying that they made the decision to remove the pig character based on “the business model and actor prominence” – an explanation which was absolutely nonsensical.
And then she showed herself to be a bigger buffoon when she insisted that the company did not have any hidden agenda in keeping Zhu Bajie off the promotional materials. Now, she has made Malaysians wonder.
I have always maintained that Malaysia is suffering from a stupidity epidemic. It is obvious that Hou has fallen victim to the same stupidity infection!
Actually, the pig is featured in my favorite movies! Check them out here:
I wouldn't be entirely shocked if Malaysian Chinese may be told to celebrate this particular Lunar New Year discreetly.
We can't have grunts and squeals and snorts and oinks reverberating around the country – in case we antagonize some Malay-Muslims who fear their faith will be subverted.

The Break-up
I have learned about the break-up since August 2015 but I was too distraught to talk about it then! I have got over it but I am still saddled with sadness.
I am talking about the uncoupling of that famous celebrity couple, Kermit and Miss Piggy. The couple – together for about 40 years after being introduced by mutual friend Jim Henson – had announced the split in Beverly Hills.
“After careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, Miss Piggy made the difficult decision to terminate our romantic relationship. We will continue to work together on television (“The Muppets” on Tuesdays 8 PM this fall on ABC) and in all media now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity, throughout the universe. However, our personal lives are now distinct and separate, and we will be seeing other people, pigs, frogs, et al. This is our only comment on this private matter. Thank you for your understanding”.
They did, however, promise they will continue to work together. That's really good to hear. For sure, life will go on for both of them – and they'll find new partners even. That’s Life!
