Cat Wears N95 Mask

Malaysians are buying up face masks and emptying shop shelves as the haze is not going away any time soon.

Kuching’s iconic cat statue heaved a pretend sigh of relief because it managed to gets its paws on the N95 mask.

The Borneo Post reported on Sunday that the feline figure at Jalan Padungan in Sarawak’s capital had been “suitably dressed up” by the Kuching City South Council. They gave the Felis catus a particulate respirator with 'N95' stamped on it, in reference to the type of protective covering recommended for use during the haze.

In fact, in one paw, the feline can be seen holding up a banner with a list of reminders to help city folks cope with the haze.

The bulletin informs the locals to rehydrate frequently, stay indoors, wear masks outdoors, and to wash their hands and face after going outdoors. And to seek medical assistance if feeling unwell.

Netizens think the pussy cat is setting a good example.

Last evening, I attended the SJMC Toastmasters meeting, where I delivered my CC #3 speech titled Dance of the Dunces.

As well as taking up the Grammarian role.
