Johore to Fall?

On February 02, 2013, I foretold that Johore will fall to the opposition.

A blogger writing under the pseudonym Sir Wenger Khairy had indicated on February 10, 2013 that “UMNO Johor (are) in dire straits” and echoed the popular talk on the grapevine of “the impending collapse of BN in Johore” (Blogpage http://pirates-of-putrajaya.blogspot.com/2013/02/umno-johor-in-dire-straits.html).

In fact, one DAP parliamentarian had already predicted that about 20 of 26 parliamentary seats in Johor, considered the last bastion of BN, can fall like dominoes in GE13. According to Bukit Bendera MP Liew Chin Tong’s calculations, this is possible if Pakatan Rakyat can secure the support of 35% Malay, 80% Chinese and 50% Indian voters.

Hence, he says PR can secure the much-needed 112-seat threshold to form the next federal government with seats from only Peninsular Malaysia. He says it is tough but it is not impossible.

I believe GE13 will witness the southern state, a supposedly BN fortress turning into a sandcastle that will just as quickly crumble! I am optimistic about PR’s chances in Johore!

I cannot wait for GE13!

I was at Plaza VADS in TTDI to attend the YSP Toastmasters Club meeting yesterday. And I was the General Evaluator. Even though there were just ten Toastmasters in attendance, all of us benefited from the sharing and the learning. That’s what Toastmastering is all about.

The match between Celtic and St Johnstone on Tuesday was another game of plentiful missed chances for the former. Still Celtic took the lead when Efe Ambrose headed in Emilio Izaguirre's cross (37) but St Johnstone leveled the score when Nigel Hasselbaink produced a delightful curling shot in goalie Fraser Forster’s far corner in the eighty-second minute. Celtic 1 St Johnstone 1.
