Ku Li Makes a Move

This is really intriguing if it is true. According to The Malaysian Insider, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah (left) the Kelantanese prince and UMNO politician who once challenged Mahathir Mohamad  –  has made a quiet move to initiate meetings with MPs from both BN and PR, supposedly to discuss strategies to get enough numbers when Parliament convenes on June 24 to take Najib Razak’s job. He is finally making a bid to get elected as prime minister if we can believe this news portal, that is.

To achieve this goal, Ku Li (i.e. Razaleigh) would need 112 votes, including himself, if a motion is approved for the 222-seat Dewan Rakyat to choose a prime minister. Thus far, it is doubtful if he can get the numbers to unseat Najib. But, you never know.

There’s a storm slowly building up over the horizon and Najib is sure to get soaked to the skin when the deluge is unleashed upon all of us. And there is even a teeny-weeny chance that he may be swept away. I shall get on my knees and pray!

On Wednesday, I was in KL's Lebuh Ampang Jalan Gereja, to be precise to attend the Allianz Toastmasters meeting. I was given the task to evaluate Betty Phuah who delivered her CC speech #9. It was a good speech and so too were the others. Of course the evaluations were also equally good. And yes, I did enjoy the meeting. My one gripe is that they started twelve minutes late. I shall score this meeting a 7 over 10.
