Fiona Parkinson (left) is a fine art taxidermist working in the UK. And she creates art from butterfly wings.
Her medium is extremely fragile, and she nimbly carves intricate designs out of the deceased specimens' wings, and then arranges the carvings into displays. Some of her designs are playful, and others fall on the macabre side.
She’s produced a stunning series of artworks titled Insect Dissectology.
A creative way to preserve the beauty of a dead butterfly.
