The South Korean coach regretted not being able to bring cheers to national football fans and stated he takes full responsibility for Malaysia’s loss.
“All related to problems are from my side (because) all tactical, line-up and strategy that was mine, not the player... any decision is my decision, you can blame me and you can attack me (but) not the players”, he said during a post-match press conference.
Truly, he demonstrated courage because it is rare for coaches to voluntarily take the blame for any defeat. Respect!
A US think tank, Center for Strategic & International Studies wargamed a Chinese amphibious invasion of Taiwan and ran it 24 times. And in most scenarios, the US/Japan/Taiwan win – although this defense came at an enormous cost for everybody.
Still, the US must come to Taiwan’s aid within days of hostilities starting and with the full range of its capabilities.
That’s what CSIS claimed anyway.
I daresay US hawks love wargames as much as they love real wars!
