A Happy New Year, everybody!

 

The China Manned Space Agency on October 29, 2022 released this video clip of Earth from the China Space Station:

 

 

Thank you, China for showing us the magnificent footage of Earth from way up, far, far above.

 

Luck was on Liverpool's side on Friday. They scraped three points from Leicester City, thanks to a 2-1 victory to end 2022 with four Premier League wins in a row. 

 

This was all down to the misfortune of the latter’s Belgian defender Wout Faes, who managed to put the ball in his own net twice in the most bizarre fashion. The first was an almost impossible deflection from a Trent-Alexander-Arnold cross, but it was one that Foxes’ goalkeeper Danny Ward had shouted for him to leave and he didn’t. The second he turned in after Darwin Nunez’s dink over the goalie rebounded off the post into the Belgian’s path. 

 

It was the first time an opposition defender had scored two own goals against Liverpool at Anfield, and they certainly gave the Reds a get-out-of-jail-free card as they were very poor in that first 45 minutes. 

 

For sure, Liverpool will need to really improve in 2023 – and it’s Brentford away on Monday. Needless to say, we must win the game!
