In Support of James Gunn

If you have read my July 23, 2018 post titled “GOTG's James Gunn Gets Fired” @ – you will have known about the unfortunate termination of the Guardians of the Galaxy director.

Anyway, the entire cast has penned an Open Letter to show their support of him:

Chris Pratt’s Instagram page

The signatories were Chris Pratt (Peter Quill/Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Bradley Cooper (Rocket), Vin Diesel (Groot), Dave Bautista (Drax), Sean Gunn (Kraglin), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Karen Gillan (Nebula) and Michael Rooker (Yondu).

They were not alone in wanting Gunn back.

A petition calling for his reinstatement has been signed by more than 330,000 people todate and which continues to gather more signatures.

I’m not okay with what’s happening to James Gunn. He made mistakes. And he had apologized. We all make mistakes  do we not?

Shouldn't we allow him to move on and leave the past behind? Couldn't we be forgiving? Don't throw stones because we too live in glass houses.

I hope Disney will respond positively.

Today, I was at the Standard Chartered Global Business Services Sdn Bhd premise in Jalan 51A in Petaling Jaya, Selangor – to attend their Toastmasters meeting.

I was both speaker and General Evaluator. I had presented CC #4 titled "Word Beauty” – my ninth speech for my Competent Communication manual, round #48.

I also took part in Table Topics and I was voted Best Speaker.

It’s been a long while since I visited the club – I've always enjoyed their meetings.

My thanks to Senapati Dwijadas for kindly accommodating my request for a speaking slot. Much appreciated!
