This morning (6:00 AM to be precise), Dataran Merdeka is closed off to the public for the next 48 hours as DBKL moved to prevent Bersih 3.0 tomorrow. The Malaysian Insider reported that DBKL issued the order after unconfirmed reports said that police have obtained a court order yesterday preventing the use of Dataran Merdeka for a rally.
According to Gerakan Mahasiswa Pantai Timur’s Syahmi Hazim Mohd Ithnin, activists camping along the walkway by the field for the fourteenth day today in anticipation of Bersih 3.0 were ordered to leave the area at 4:00 AM. The 30 or so activists complied the order and have since relocated across the road by the iconic Sultan Abdul Samad building.

It is obvious that the authorities have not learnt anything from Bersih 2.0! No wonder it is said that the Malaysian education system sucks big time!
