It is befitting that Malaysian squash queen, Nicol David won this year’s ediiton of the CIMB Nicol David KL Open – after the “renaming” – this was her eighth victory at this squash tournament, having defeated Hong Kong’s Annie Au 11-4, 12-10, 11-9 in 36 minutes on Saturday.

The win is Nicol's 60th Women’s International Squash Players Association (Wispa) title and she is rapidly closing in on Susan Devoy’s all-time record of 63 titles. It is also her third title of the year following victories in the World Series Finals and the Cleveland Classic earlier this year.
