US Offers $10M Reward for Info on Iran's Mojtaba Khamenei and Others

On March 13, 2026, the United States announced a reward of up to $10 million for information leading to the identification or location of Iran's new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei and other top officials which was issued through the State Department’s "Rewards for Justice" program. 

Besides Mojtaba, Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni and Minister of Intelligence and Security Esmail Khatib were among the 10 individuals on the State Department list. 

Tipsters were requested to send information through secure channels, specifically Tor or Signal. 

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in a bombing on February 28 at the start of the US-Israeli war against Iran. And Mojtaba was named as his father's successor by Iran's Assembly of Experts on March 08.

On the same day, Pete Hegseth, the War Secretary boasted: “The US is decimating the radical Iranian regime’s military in a way the world has never seen before". 

Todate, more than 15,000 Iranian targets have been hit, obliterating the nation's air defenses, air force, and navy, while its missile capabilities have plummeted by 90 percent. Or so, he attested.

Hegseth mockingly asserted that "Iran's leadership is in no better shape. Desperate and hiding, they've gone underground, cowering. That's what rats do”. 

The former Fox News host even described  Mojtaba Khamenei, as the “so-called not-so-supreme leader” who is “wounded and likely disfigured”. 

The US is sending more body bags home. 

On Thursday, six crew members were killed on a KC-135 refueling aircraft that crashed in western Iraq, US Central Command confirmed. 

Thirteen US service members have died in the Iran war and at least 140 have been injured. If you ask me, the casualty toll is a lot higher than what was declared.

On Iran's side, close to 2,000 Iranians, most of whom were civilians, have been killed, the country’s representative to the UN in New York, Amir Saeed Iravani, said Wednesday.
