Always Be Blue

Cardiff City returned to playing in blue on Saturday after Vincent Tan, the Championship club’s owner, bowed to growing supporter pressure to scrap the unpopular red home kit and revert to their traditional colours.

It was also revealed that the club crest would be redesigned to make the Bluebird, rather than the dragon, the primary emblem.

The changes constitute a major climbdown on Tan’s part but it is good to know that good sense had prevailed.

BTW, in the Football League Championship (often referred to as the Championship for short, or the Sky Bet Championship for sponsorship reasons), Cardiff beat Fulham 1-0.

[Note: The Championship is the second-highest division overall in the English football league system after the Premier League].

On that day too, I was at the Bankers Club in KL’s Jalan Imbi to attend the MIMKL Toastmasters meeting. I delivered my CC speech #6 titled “The Day I Cried” and I was evaluated by Grace Chan. It was a good speech and I was therefore, voted Best Speaker.

A well-attended meeting but we still didn’t start on time. Even the General Evaluator had to tick us off. I would score this meeting a 4 over 10.
