It looks like the International Space Station is becoming the second home for Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore. Poor things, today is the 100th day they've been stuck in the ISS and stranded in space.

 

The two NASA astronauts are roughing it out during their prolonged stay. According to NASA, the ISS only has six private sleeping quarters. Each quarter has a sleeping bag, a storage area for snacks and personal belongings, and two laptops attached to the walls. 

 

But Williams and Wilmore joined an international crew of seven people already at the ISS – so the sleep cabins were already at maximum capacity. It has been reported that Williams camps with one of the astronauts in a basic sleep module called the CASA, or Crew Alternate Sleep Accommodation. And Wilmore has been given a sleeping bag to rest in, out in the Japanese Space Agency's Kibo module. 

 

Having long completed their own checklist of tasks for the short stint they initially planned to be on – they are assisting the rest of the ISS crew with odd jobs. Like helping out in science experiments and maintenance chores, including such unglamorous work as repairing a urine processing pump. 

 

Oh well, it's all in a day's work for these astronauts!

 

Malaysian women's pair Pearly Tan-Thinaah Muralitharan have been beating tough rivals in straight sets, and that is good for their confidence. And so, the world No. 8 took only 31 minutes to defeat in-form Indonesians Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma-Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi 21-14, 21-13 in the Hong Kong Open quarter-finals today. 

 

Though Febriana-Amallia looked imposing, having just won the Taiwan Open last week, they were no match for Pearly-Thinaah.

 

And the duo set up a last-four clash against South Korean world number two Baek Ha Na-Lee So Hee tomorrow.
