Donald Trump’s Sentencing in Hush Money Case Delayed Again

The sentencing of former US President Donald Trump (right) in a criminal hush-money case has been delayed until after the November presidential election.

 

New York Judge Juan Merchan announced on Friday that he would move the sentencing date, previously scheduled for September 18, to November 26. This is the second delay in the sentencing hearing, which was originally set for July 11. 

 

Merchan explained the new date – exactly three weeks after the November 05 presidential election – was chosen to reflect Trump’s candidacy in the upcoming election.

Uruguay striker, 37-year-old Luis Suarez (right) played his last game on September 06, a 2026 World Cup qualifier against Paraguay which ended in a 1-1 draw. He retires from international football, ending a 17-year stint with the national team. 

 

Suarez, who is the country’s all-time top scorer with 69 goals, has made 143 appearances for his country after making his debut against Colombia in February 2007.
