Olympics at the Cinema

Beginning with the opening ceremony on July 26 across Paris, France, cinemas across China have offered its citizens to watch live broadcasts of the 2024 Summer Olympics. 

 

This initiative follows an agreement between China Media Group, the copyright owner for the Olympic Games in China and China Film Group Corporation, a national theater chain. More than 800 cinemas across the country will broadcast over 20 sports live, including table tennis, badminton, volleyball, diving and many other events with enhanced viewing experience provided for audiences. 

 

Methinks, it's a great idea to watch Olympic competitions in cinemas – and which has become a trend in China! 

 

It's not just about the big screen or the audio-visual experience – but even better, the cinema-going public can experience an immersive environment as if they are present at the actual event(s).
