New member Lim Jia Yen took up the task of organizing and hosting World Speakers’ Coalition Kuala Lumpur’s nineteenth meeting yesterday.
The venue was The Farm @ The Sphere in Bangsar South, KL.
Eight of us – 6 members and two guests – made it to the meeting.
Yen decided to get all of us to unmask ourselves. We were to open up and share more about ourselves using 3 adjectives as a starting-point.
The self-introductions were meant to be brief (4-5 minutes) and conversational. We weren’t expecting detailed accounts.
Granted, self-introductions can be somewhat uncomfortable and stiff. Even awkward.
But the session turned out to be pleasingly pleasant. Besides being a real eye-opener. I'm sure it helps build connection between the attendees.

- Santhi: Resilient, conscientious, cherubic, spiritual
- Steffi: Brave, retrospective, adventurous
- Samuel: Adventurous, humorous, sociable
- Surin: Transformational, outgoing, positive
- Victor: Complicated, complex, weird
- Kavita: Creative, DIY-loving, precocious, challenging
- Yen: Happy, empathetic, courageous
