The Human-like Bear

After the video of the "human-like bear" at China's Hangzhou Zoo (re: A Bear Mistaken for a Costumed Human" published Wednesday) – and amid lingering suspicions, UK's Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire in England shared a video of the same looking bear in their zoo to settle the debate once and for all.

 

"We can confirm that Kyra is a sun bear", wrote Paradise Wildlife Park in an Instagram post. 

 

In the clip that the zoo shared, you can see the "human-like bear" up close. The footage opens to show Kyra (left) walking around in a garden-like area. 

 

This post was shared on August 01. Since being posted, it has been liked more than 17,000 times. 

 

And one comment says it all: "If you all read Zoo Books as kids you’d know that sun bears are good at walking upright to catch their favorite food".
