Check out these eyebrow-raising numbers I spotted in a John Psaropoulos report in Al Jazeera on March 09, 2023:
And Ukraine decided to do some arithmetic and cleverly came up with a calculation that is for the birds. The verdict that more than 150,000 Russian soldiers have been killed so far just won't wash.
US White House officials jumped into the fray too and on February 17, they reported that the Wagner Group alone, which have predominantly fought in the Bakhmut theater, suffered 30,000 casualties, including about 9,000 fatalities, in one year of war.
If you add up both Russian and Wagner fatalities mentioned in the said article, it would mean that nearly the whole interventionist force that crossed into Ukraine on February 24 last year has been nearly wiped out. If you believe lah!
And it seems all that remains on the battlefield are 320,000 Russians, give or take a couple of thousands.
On the Ukrainian side, Oleksiy Danilov, the secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, has surmised that Ukrainian forces have lost one soldier for every seven Russians in Bakhmut.
And Bakhmut is where most of the present fighting is.
Meaning Ukraine has lost close to 26,000 military personnel. Again, if you believe lah!
In fact, Ukrainian military intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov even told USA Today that Russia’s massive losses rendered it unable to mount a major offensive after this spring.
Yay-y-y, “Ukraine is bleeding Russia of men and ammunition”. It’s just a matter of time before Ukraine is victorious!
This is the alternate world that [V]olodymyr [Z]elensky and his believing minions find themselves in. The rest of us are living in the actual world where Russia is winning the war.
