Screw John W Henry!

On Wednesday, Liverpool owner and Fenway Sports Group supremo John W Henry (left) in a two-and-a-half-minute video took responsibility for the European Super League debacle when he told fans: “I’ve let you down”.

He apologized for causing “disruption” and claimed “the project put forward was never going to stand without the support of the fans”, despite not consulting them – or even his employees – beforehand.

To be honest, that’s not the apology I wanted to hear. Sorry, mate, that’s just not good enough!

He caused Liverpool’s name to be dragged through the mud, not to mention, massively misjudging the fans sentiment (again). His deliberate deception, his duplicitous dishonesty, his audacious act of avarice will never be forgotten!

I purposely waited at least 48 hours before I put out Henry's apology in my blog because I didn't want to do it when I was in an angry mood.

I have to say I am still angry. I find it hard to forgive his betrayal and his lukewarm apology didn't assuage my anger one bit. A lame effort that I'm not taking seriously. I can't even if I wanted to.

Screw John W Henry!
