Another busy member, Kashveena Mahendran volunteered to organize and host our January do, World Speakers’ Coalition Kuala Lumpur's 37th meeting. [Regrettably, at the very last minute, work cruelly prevented her from making it to the meeting].
As it turns out, Tuesday was a smallish meeting with just four members and a guest (Tamin) in attendance. Our venue this time around was Gravybaby Bangsar.
Many of us experience aha! moments where things seemingly align, click into place, and help us make sense of an otherwise bemusing situation. They make everything clear. They clarify. You can say, we gain a flash of insight, an important discovery, an instance of self-realization.
I get the impression that we are all big believers in aha moments. And for good reason. They possess the ability to energize creativity, redirect our lives and even propel us forward, on both personal and/or professional odysseys.
I daresay it's a valid point. After all, some of the most famous aha moments are from world-renowned thought leaders, like Albert Einstein, who famously realized time is relative, and Isaac Newton who questioned an apple’s path, leading him to the theory of gravity.
Not unlike our other meetings, we went into storytelling mode. Each one of us shared an experience we had. And collectively, the personal sharing not only points us to aha moments but that they bring together everybody's experiences that help us see their actual value. In fact, these musings combine, coalesce and consolidate into one vast vortex of understanding that speaks to us as lessons of life.
