You can be sure Western propagandists quickly concocted reasons to explain the said disappearance. They alleged that the "sudden absence" of North Korean troops on the battlefield may indicate that they are regrouping and assessing their future actions. And it could also be a result of numerous injuries and exhaustion from recent battles.
On January 09, Ukrainian President [V]ladimir [Z]elensky declared that the losses of North Korean soldiers had reached 4,000, according to The New Voice of Ukraine. He added that Russian military personnel attempted to burn the faces of deceased North Korean soldiers who participated in battles against Ukrainian forces to conceal their losses.
But a South Korean lawmaker Lee Seong-kweun said on January 13, citing information from Seoul's spy agency – based on a CNA report – that around 300 North Korean soldiers had been killed and 2,700 injured in Kursk. He said the soldiers, reportedly from North Korea's elite Storm Corps, had been ordered to kill themselves rather than be taken prisoner. 😮😮😮😮
Straightaway, you'll notice [Z]elensky's and Lee's numbers don't add up.
And on January 11, [Z]elensky even announced that the Ukrainian Defense Forces had captured two wounded North Korean soldiers in Kursk Oblast. They were transported to Kiev, where they were interrogated by their SBU investigators. 😂😂😂😂
FYI, Moscow has not acknowledged the deployment of Pyongyang's forces to fight in the Kursk region, as confirmed by Seoul and Washington.
