Apple's iPhones Reward Some Sleepers with Unexpected Lie-ins

It has been reported that some of Apple's iPhone alarms aren't being activated and
they are rewarding their slumbering users an unexpected lie-in.

For many people, their phone is an indispensable alarm clock and some over-sleepers turned to social media to vent. One TikTokker even complained that she had set "like five alarms" and they didn't go off.

Apple have confirmed they are aware of the issue and are already working quickly to fix it. They have yet to spell out what they believe is causing it, or what users can do to avoid a late start. It is also unclear how many people are affected or whether the problem is restricted to particular models of iPhone.

But, until then, these affected late risers may need to dust off a bit of retro tech, and swap their "smart" alarms for the more old-fashioned – but dependable – tick-tock of an alarm clock! 😁😁

In the US, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office have, on Wednesday, disclosed plans to retry film producer Harvey Weinstein on charges related to sexual assault, less than a week after a New York court overturned his conviction for rape. [Refer my post titled "Cicadas Emerge From Underground" published April 26].

FYI, seventy-two-year-old Weinstein is maintaining his innocence, alleging the sexual encounters were consensual.
