World Speakers’ Coalition Kuala Lumpur had their thirteenth meeting at Farm To Plate in Damansara Kim, Petaling Jaya.
Our host was 3-month-old member Steffi Chuah and we all unanimously agreed the meeting was very well-planned. Overall, it was a good meeting and the atmosphere was great!
And the meeting theme she picked was “The Idea of Privacy”.
Of course, the topic was much more than about data privacy. The eleven of us – eight members and three guests – who were present yesterday gave it a good scrutiny and recognized the importance and value of privacy.
After all, privacy is about the freedom to make choices without fear: how you want to live, what you believe in, who you are friends with, and what you want to share with whom. I don’t know about you – but I see privacy as an aggregate public good.
Members warmly welcomed the return of Amber Gee, who had been absent for a long while. It was really good to have her back!
And out of the three visitors who came, two decided to sign up as members, Kathleen Poon and Kashveena Mahendran.
