Liverpool Suffers Fatal Blow

Liverpool had hoped to move closer to their first title in 24 years but fate dealt a cruel blow when the Monday match against Crystal Palace ended in a 3-3 draw.

It was agonizing to see Brendan Rodgers' side squandered a three-goal lead in the final eleven minutes. And their EPL title hopes suffer a fatal blow.

The Reds had looked to be maintaining the pressure on title favorites Manchester City, and reducing a gap in goal difference that remains at nine.

Liverpool’s Joe Allen shot home a goal in the eighteenth minute' and then strikes from Daniel Sturridge (53) and Luis Suarez (55) put the Reds in complete command. Or so we all think.

But their vulnerable defense swiftly collapsed at the first sign of serious pressure as Crystal Palace scored through Damien Delaney (79) and a double from substitute Dwight Gayle (81, 88).

Manchester City are now in pole position to win the title.

Teary-eyed since Sunday:

Disappointment. Despondency. Dejection.
