Farts are like Snowflakes

No two farts smell exactly alike, according to an interview with Dr. Lester Gottesman, a proctologist from St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York City.

A March 19, 2010 posting on boingboing.net explains why farts are like snowflakes: “The smell has to do with the amount of absorbed products like methane, which is made by fermentation of what we eat, and that's what causes the bad smell, basically. As a baby, when you're born, passing through the vagina, you're infected by the bacteria in your mother's colon, and that's the bacteria you're dealt for your lifetime. Also, everybody is different in how they'll digest wheat products, milk products, whatever. And if they are not digested properly there will be a lot of methane produced and a lot of acid, and that would tend to cause a stinkier bowl movement”. So, now you know! Celtic’s 3-0 victory over St. Johnstone means we reduced Rangers' lead in the Scottish Premier League to 10 points. Josh Thompson headed Celtic into a 15th-minute lead, Robbie Keane scored with a penalty (67) after Graeme Smith upended Marc-Antoine Fortune and Georgios Samaras slotted in a late third, after he eased aside two defenders before slotting the ball under the advancing Smith (87). Short of a Rangers’ collapse, I don’t see how Celtic can be No. 1 – still, we must be hopeful.

And in the EPL, Arsenal beat West Ham 2-0 to move to the top of the table, one point clear of Man U. It was Denilson who gave Arsenal the lead – when he played a one-two with Nicklas Bendtner, before slotting past Robert Green. And Cesc Fabregas doubled the Gunners’ lead from the penalty spot (83). And of course, I wait with bated breath for Sunday’s game between Man U and Liverpool – the latter should win and must win!

Man U midfielder and Scotland international Darren Fletcher, had correctly cautioned his team – to be wary of the threat Liverpool pose even if they are out of the title chase.

"Liverpool have struggled for a consistent team this season, which is maybe why they have not challenged like they did last year," said Fletcher. "But they are still battling for fourth place and they are getting their players fit now so they will be dangerous opposition. "They managed to beat us on the last three times we have met so we need to be very wary. We know we have to be 100 per cent.
