US Plan Takes Shape for Massive Ukraine Weapons Sales

According to Ukrainska Pravda on July 11, in an interview with Bloomberg, Kyrylo Budanov (right), Head of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, has asserted that Russia will not be able to seize the entire Donetsk Oblast by the end of 2025. 

And yet, at the front lines, including Donetsk, the DeepState analytical project reported that Russian forces occupied 556 square kilometres of "Ukrainian" territory in June, marking the largest monthly figure in 2025. Not only that but on July 01, for the first time since February, the General Staff's operational maps of the front line showed Russian advances even in Sumy Oblast (North Slobozhanshchyna front). 

Across the Atlantic, a top Donald Trump ally, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham (right) of South Carolina, said Sunday that the conflict is nearing an inflection point as the US president shows growing interest in helping Ukraine fight back Russia. It’s a cause that Trump, who during his campaign made quickly ending the war a top priority, had previously dismissed as being a waste of US taxpayer money. 

“In the coming days, you’ll see weapons flowing at a record level to help Ukraine defend themselves”, Graham boldly declared on CBS’ “Face the Nation". 

Already, Trump is facing calls from Republicans and Democrats as well as European allies to support legislation in the Senate that aims to cripple Russia’s oil industry and hit Moscow with US sanctions for its ongoing invasion of Ukraine. 

The legislation, in part, calls for a 500% tariff on goods imported from countries that continue to buy Russian oil, gas, uranium and other exports. It would have an enormous impact on the economies of Brazil, China and India, which account for the vast majority of Russia’s energy trade, it is claimed. 

It was reported last week that Trump would make a “major statement” on Russia on Monday, as he had signaled he will escalate US action against Russia.
