Yesterday, I got the answer as to why old books smell so good.
Somebody actually took the trouble to investigate and determine exactly how the remains of a small dinosaur ended up in a brachiosaurus puke crater.
To find out, you need to know with how much force did brachiosauruses retch?
The answer is about 68,000 Newtons per hurl, assuming 110 pounds of vomit projected from a 45ft height onto packed sand below. That would be more than enough to kill you, for sure!

An interesting read because it brings the world of the Mesozoic-era dinosaurs to life for the 21st century reader. It offers a unique, detective-like approach to interpret the forensic clues of these long-extinct animals that leave a much richer legacy than bones.
