The US can't hide it forever!
The Russian Defense Ministry on Thursday alleged that US-funded bio labs in Ukraine had conducted experiments with bat coronavirus samples.
The issue of US biological research facilities is not new. In fact, the Chinese Foreign Ministry this month claimed: "The US has 336 labs in 30 countries under its control, including 26 in Ukraine alone”.
Earlier, the Kremlin revealed evidence that the US was involved in biological weapons research in Ukrainian labs. And when the Russians decided to barge into Ukraine on February 24, the latter had reportedly been very busy destroying samples of pathogens.
On Tuesday, Victoria Nuland (left), Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that Ukraine has biological research facilities and that "we are working with the Ukrainians on how they can prevent any of those research materials from falling into the hands of the Russian forces".
Very quickly, the US backtracked.
On Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki (right) released eight continuous tweets, accusing Russia of making fake claims about US biological weapons labs in Ukraine – and also blamed China of endorsing this propaganda! Even US media outlet Bloomberg ran an article titled "China Pushes Conspiracy Theory About US Labs in Ukraine".
The accusation against China came after Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian urged the US "to give a full account of its biological military activities at home and abroad and subject itself to multilateral verification".
Of course, the US won’t lah!
