Three days have passed and coronavirus infections have accelerated to go beyond 13.5 million. The final tally actually came to 13,683,686 cases as at July 16, 2020, 00:00 GMT.
India’s number of confirmed cases climbed to 900,000 on Monday. Pakistan and Germany too, clambered steep paths to hit 250,000 and 200,000 cases respectively.
The following day, Mexico scaled even higher and peaked at 300,000 cases.
No Covid-19 report is complete if we do not mention the US. The country is still Number 1 in cases and deaths. Already, its total fatalities have now topped 140,000 – no other country comes even close to it!
Yesterday’s match between Liverpool and Arsenal was yet again, disappointing.
The Reds made two uncharacteristic errors and that gave Gunners a 2-1 victory.
With it, the chance to set a new Premier League points record has evaporated.
