A popular UK pub in Cornwall have put up a ‘shocking’ barrier at the bar – to, ahem, shock patrons into behaving.
The Star Inn’s Johnny McFadden in St Just have had enough of people doing as they pleased and ignoring social-distancing guidelines – and so they've put up a polite warning notice on the bar. Oh, and a fully wired and charged electric fence.
"It's for everybody's benefit", he insisted.
Two Saturdays ago, a couple of drunken revellers had even claimed they were electrocuted by the fence, after one too many pints.
McFadden said the fence is usually switched off – but warned: "It can be turned on".
The Star Inn is a St Austell Brewery-owned venue described as a "true gem, full of tradition, character and immense charm".

What a crazy game it was at Anfield yesterday. Liverpool beat Chelsea 5-3 in the penultimate game of the season, prior to their Premier League trophy presentation.
Naby Keita scored the opener in the 23rd minute, firing outside the penalty box. Fifteen minutes later, Trent Alexander-Arnold doubled the lead when he scored a spectacular freekick. Within 5 minutes, Georginio Wijnaldum put the ball into Chelsea’s net.
The Blues managed to pull one back with a close range finish in injury time (45+3) as Liverpool ended the first half 3-1.
Roberto Firmino ended his Anfield goal drought with a well-taken header in the 55th minute – prior to Chelsea finding the net six minutes later.
The latter further narrowed the gap to just one in the 73rd minute when they scored again.
But the champions sealed the game when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain slammed home the fifth from Andy Robertson's cross in the 84th minute.
It was a fitting way to round off another unbeaten league season at Anfield and the perfect set-up for the title presentation ceremony Liverpool have waited three decades to enjoy – albeit, conducted in the somewhat surreal surroundings of a virtually empty stadium.
Whatever lah, it was still a damn wonderful day for all Kopites!
