The DAP Cousins Should Quit

Perak DAP chief Ngeh Khoo Ham (above photo, right) and Nga Kor Ming (left), assemblyperson for Pantai Remis and Taiping MP, as the story goes, did not get 10,526 hectares of land from the Kelantan government in exchange for support for PAS' Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin to be the Perak menteri besar in 2008. The land was obtained by the two cousins as well as other investors in April of this year through their acquisition of Upayapadu Plantation Sdn Bhd, the company that was awarded the said land in the first place.

Ngeh had insisted that the business deal was an arm’s length transaction and it was no secret as the DAP and state Pakatan leadership, as well as the federal government, had been informed of the purchase.

The fact of the matter is that it is always a bad idea for politicians to do business. If these DAP fellas insist on doing business, kindly leave politics. You cannot have the cake and eat it lah! I say, the DAP duo should quit!

Celtic increased their lead at the top of the Scottish Premier League to seven points with a 2-0 win over Dundee. The first goal came from an excellent Georgios Samaras overhead kick from 10 yards (16). And the second came from Mikael Lustig's long-ball – it should have been dealt with, but Gary Hooper raced clear of Kyle Benedictus and Declan Gallagher to show an exquisite first touch and lob over Rab Douglas from just inside the box (71).

Liverpool again bit the dust when Stoke City whacked the Reds 3-1 on Boxing Day. It was Steven Gerrard who opened scoring when he converted a penalty (2) after Ryan Shawcross fouled Luis Suarez but Jon Walters (5) and Kenwyne Jones (12) led a stunning response with two quick goals to put Stoke in front and then Walters again scored a spectacular third in the 49th minute to seal victory for a fighting side that has now extended their unbeaten EPL run to nine games. Brendan Rodgers has overstayed! Liverpool should have the courage to dump him!
