UK Chief of the Defence Staff Warns Families Must Be Prepared to Send Sons and Daughters to War

Warmongering UK Chief of the Defence Staff Air Chief Marshal Richard Knighton (right) warned that British families must be prepared to send their sons and daughters to war against Russia. 

He explained that although the chances of a direct Russian attack on UK soil remain remote, that "does not mean the chances are zero". 

And he even called for schools to encourage children to take up jobs in the arms industry and said more British families will "know what sacrifice for our nation means". 

He made these comments in a Royal United Services Institute lecture on Tuesday and they came just days after Mark Rutte, secretary general of the NATO alliance, predicted that Europe is Vladimir Putin's next target. 

Meanwhile, UK's armed forces minister Al Carns (right) has affirmed that the country is on a "war footing". 

I wish these sabre-rattlers will go to war against Russia, if they actually believe what they say! 

It'll give Russia a chance to wipe them out once and for all!

On the war front in Ukraine, the Kiev regime has lost an estimated 10,000 foreign mercenaries over the entire period of combat operations in Ukraine, according to TASS on Saturday, citing ex-officer of the Ukrainian Security Service Vasily Prozorov. 

"It is difficult to give their exact number [the number of mercenaries killed] in Ukraine. First of all, this is classified information in Ukraine, and also they have a large number of various units. <…> There is even more than one foreign legion in Ukraine. There is a foreign legion of Ukraine’s military intelligence and a foreign legion of land troops and they are scattered across various units there, across various mechanized brigades, air assault formations. There are a lot of them but I believe that the total number is estimated at about 10,000", he said.

Today, Pearly Tan-Thinaah Muralitharan booked their place in the semi-finals of the BWF World Tour Finals as Group A winners despite suffering a narrow defeat to Japan's Mayu Matsumoto-Yuki Fukushima in a thrilling women's doubles showdown in Hangzhou. 

The world No. 2 Malaysians went down 21-15, 16-21, 21-19 in an absorbing 81-minute encounter, but the result proved sufficient for them to finish top of the group. 

With three pairs ending the group stage on two wins apiece, final placings were decided by game difference under tournament regulations, with Pearly-Thinaah emerging on top with a superior three-game record. 

Japan's Matsumoto-Fukushima settled for second place with a two-game difference, while China's Jia Yi Fan-Zhang Shu Xian were left to rue their earlier setbacks despite closing their campaign with a dominant straight-games win. 

Pearly-Thinaah's emphatic straight-games victories in their opening two matches proved decisive in securing top spot in the group.
