A month after securing the film rights to Labubu, Sony have tapped the Paddington director to bring one of the world's biggest collectible sensations to the big screen.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed on Thursday that King is set to direct the feature project and will produce it alongside Department M and Wenxin She. The project is currently in early development and is still seeking a writer.
Sony are collaborating with the Chinese retailer and brand owner Pop Mart on the adaptation.
