Pokrovsk Has Fallen

Finally. Russia's Ministry of Defense have reported that their troops have fully liberated Pokrovsk (known as Krasnoarmeysk in Russian) in Donbass along with Volchansk in Kharkov Region, as of Monday. 

As part of a large urban cluster and a key rail and road junction, Pokrovsk serves as an important logistical hub. 

Not forgetting that on November 20, Russian forces captured the city of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv Oblast. 

Predictably, Ukraine's [V]ladimir [Z]elensky has downplayed these battlefield losses while appealing to Western backers for more weapons and money. 

Ukrainian troops are also facing desertions and a lack of reinforcements, with growing public resistance to mobilization and reports of soldiers accusing Kiev of forcing them to hold indefensible positions. 

It's already a hopeless situation for Ukraine. Surrender lah and save what's left of your country!

Today, world No. 6 Sivasangari Subramaniam reached the quarter-finals of the Milwaukee Hong Kong Squash Open following a hard-fought win over France's Mélissa Alvès. 

The Malaysian won the second-round match 3-1: 11-8, 5-11, 11-5, 11-7 in 32 minutes. 

She will take on top seed Hania El Hammamy of Egypt for a place in the semi-finals on Thursday.
