The G20 took their group photo on Monday – but without the President of the United States. When they finished and tried to get the leaders back in place to wait for Joe Biden, they all just walked off the stage.
Frustrated US officials blamed “logistical issues” for the blunder which meant that Biden missed out on the shot, along with the Canadian and Italian prime ministers.
Reporters could be heard calling out for Biden and only after the photo was taken when one cameraman spotted him behind a nearby palm tree. Methinks, he'd wandered there to have a pee.
The movers and shakers like China's Xi Jinping, India's Narendra Modi, Brazil's Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, South Africa's Cyril Ramaphosa and TΓΌrkiye's Recep Tayyip ErdoΔan were the ones captured in the front row.

Note: The G20 or Group of 20, an intergovernmental forum for economic cooperation among the world's 19 largest economies, along with the European Union, and as of 2023, the African Union. This year, it was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on November 18-19.
Postscript: A take two with Joe Biden, Justin Trudeau and Giorgia Meloni who were no-shows the first time around, made it for the G20 leaders' photo on Tuesday.
