Norway will not change its policy on the use of Pfizer-BioNTech’s Covid-19 vaccine following the deaths among highly frail recipients – but officials reminded health workers to properly assess patients before deciding whether to give them the jab.
Meanwhile, the WHO Global Advisory Committee on Vaccine Safety had come out to say that the reports of deaths in elderly people receiving the vaccine “are in line with” what would be expected for that demographic. And it emphasized that the benefits of vaccination outweigh the risks of not being vaccinated against Covid-19.
I take it to mean that no vaccine will be 100% safe.
