It looks like Ebola is spreading beyond the borders of the Democratic Republic of Congo – and into neighboring Uganda.
The first case is a five-year-old boy who contracted Ebola and died late on Tuesday.
According to BBC News, the Ugandan government is now reporting seven suspected cases of Ebola.
And fifty people in Uganda are suspected to have come into contact with the seven.
“This epidemic is in a truly frightening phase and shows no sign of stopping anytime soon”, said Jeremy Farrar, an infectious disease specialist and director of the Wellcome Trust global health charity, which is involved in fighting Ebola.

Experts noted that Uganda, which has been on high alert for possible spread of Ebola and has already vaccinated many front-line health workers, is relatively well-prepared and should be able to limit the virus’s spread.
We can only hope this is true.
