Hidden away from view, there is a house in the village of Kampung Kelubi in Pasir Puteh, Kelantan that is almost entirely covered in foliage.

 

And in this house, there lived a couple and their four children. Amizar Adnan, 48, and her husband Wan Mamat Wan Junoh, 52, have raised their children in this modest dwelling that netizens are now dubbing the “Hobbit House”, for its likeness to the structure depicted in the JRR. Tolkien novel, “The Hobbit”.

 

The abode gained attention after it was posted on Facebook and went viral on the social media platform, garnering more than 58,000 likes.

 

The couple have a very good reason for letting their home go green. Amizar said her husband had the idea of planting creepers to increase the 70-year-old wooden house’s structural integrity after its walls started rotting and coming apart.

A brilliant idea that produced a brilliant outcome.

 

On Wednesday, I was at the Fraser Place Toastmasters meeting at Lot 163 in Jalan Perak, KL and I was the Table Topics Evaluator. The meeting started and ended on time – and that pleased me no end! I am a stickler for punctuality, that's why.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And then it was onward to Brickfields for the MIA Toastmasters meeting. I missed three speeches but still managed to listen to Chen Voon Hann’s speech. And the evaluations too.
