It was a great weekend for football – well, at least, for me, that is. In the Scottish Premier League, Celtic defeated Hibernian 4-2, and in the English Premier League, Liverpool outclassed Chelsea 1-0. I am delighted, I am delirious, I am ecstatic. McManus (32nd minute), Sheridan (36), Loovens (76), and Brown (82) scored for the Bhoys, while Alonso (10) scored for the Reds. In fact, Rafael Benitez described Liverpool’s display as “almost perfect” – and who will dispute this assessment? Both teams are now sitting atop their respective Tables!
