Philippines Reiterates That It Will Be Drawn Into a Potential War with China

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr (left) in an interview with Japanese media in Manila on May 18 has reiterated: “In the Philippines, we do not have a choice because Taiwan is so close to the Philippines and we have almost 200,000 Filipino nationals living and working in Taiwan”. 

Geography is the reason he explains why the Philippines could be drawn into a potential war with China. 

Geography didn’t sign the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA). 

Geography didn’t host US bases. 

Geography didn’t invite Typhon missiles. 

Be honest lah! The only thing dragging you into war isn’t proximity – it’s your American sugar daddy!
