Liverpool’s fairytale turned nightmare is officially over. Following an abysmal title defense, the club have sacked Arne Slot with immediate effect.
The club announced the news of the 47-year-old’s departure on Saturday afternoon, less than a week after the final day of the Premier League season and Slot’s assertion that he was part of the plans to come.
The decision came after an end-of-season review that saw the club suffer 19 defeats across all competitions and fall from 84 to 60 points. And Champions League qualification secured only on the final day.
Slot is just not good enough for Liverpool!
