It must be said that R Shanti has been scoring high marks for picking terrific venues for our monthly meet-ups. On Tuesday, her choice was La Chica at Jaya One, PJ. With bold Mexican flavors, refreshing margaritas, and fiesta vibes, you really couldn't ask for more!
We also seized upon the opportunity to celebrate the birthdays of our August threesome, Alan Chew (in absentia), Samuel Sham and Cyril Jonas.
The meeting theme was, to my mind, uncommon: "All About Discipline, Desire & Delight".
For the most part, the phrase "discipline, desire, and delight" represents a progression in personal growth (and even spiritual development). Initially, a desire for something fuels the need for discipline to achieve it. Over time, consistent practice and effort lead to a state of delight, where the pursuit becomes a source of fulfillment.
Of course, those who came all have their individual creative take on the topic and unsurprisingly, it doesn't necessarily follow the normative presupposition.
