The Reds were looking to bounce back from their controversial first league loss of the EPL campaign against Tottenham last week; instead, they were held to a 2-2 draw by Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.
Poor Liverpool play allowed Brighton to score on twenty minutes. Fortunately, twenty minutes afterward, Mohamed Salah guided home following sublime build-up from Dominik Szoboszlai, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez before coolly converting a spot kick (45+1) after Szoboszlai was brought down.
However, the Seagulls took control as the game entered the final stages and deservedly leveled 12 minutes from time.
And they want to be title contenders?
