Southern California heralded the New Year with the Tournament of Roses Parade and last Friday, was the 127th edition. It featured forty-four floral floats, twenty marching bands and nineteen high-stepping equestrian units along the five-and-a-half mile route down Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena – the home of the Rose Parade.

From ornate scenes to incredible displays of color, these floats didn’t let a petal get out of place!
An event as elaborate as the Tournament of Roses requires about 80,000 hours of combined manpower each year. That manpower is supplied by 935 members of the non-profit Tournament of Roses Association, a volunteer organization dedicated to presenting an internationally-recognized New Year’s celebration.
