Ne Zha 2 English Dub Sets Sights on Global Market

Chinese blockbuster “Ne Zha 2” has shattered records but that's not the end of it because, CMC Pictures are reportedly preparing an English-dubbed version, setting the stage for an even broader international push.

The distributors have already secured 1,000 screens in North America and 162 in Australia for the film. For the upcoming English dub, their president Catherine Ying promised the marketing approach will shift significantly with “targeted TV advertising and social media including YouTube and TikTok”, along with a “bigger marketing budget” to reach non-Chinese audiences. 

I don't know when is the release date because there was no mention of it. But you can be sure that when it happens, this goliath of a movie will see ticket sales spiral again!

The above aside, Ne Zha 2 extended its theatrical screening in the Chinese mainland for the third time by another month to May 31, according to movie data platform Beacon Pro. Already, the Chinese animation's global box office has now reached CNY15.7 billion ($2.15 billion), as per Yicai Global on Tuesday.
