If Malaysians think that our police over-react, consider that Canadians also think the same of their police! The following was spotted on a phone-pole in Toronto’s Parkdale detailing some of the reasons people were arrested during last year's G20 summit:

The world had read that over $1 billion was spent to organize this talk-shop and the outcome was the largest mass-arrest in Canadian history – close to 900 people (The Globe and Mail, Canada, June 28, 2010).
Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday honors list on Saturday awarded British actor Colin Firth – after he played her father in the Oscar-winning film The King's Speech – the Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for his services to acting. The British honors system is one of the oldest in the world and the awards are handed out twice a year, on the queen's official birthday and at New Year.
