Liverpool's Asia Tour

The last two days (June 08-09) saw me braving bumper-to-bumper Federal Highway traffic because I was attending the ASEAN-China SME Conference at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. The sessions (seven in total) were generally interesting although they were not always engrossing. Anyway, I did learn about maximizing trade under the ASEAN-China FTA. The other thing that I discovered was that most of the speakers/panelists were guilty of spewing speech crutches. One of them had 28 errs, erms and aahs in his seven-minute presentation! They should join Toastmasters!

Liverpool FC is coming to Malaysia as part of the club’s pre-season Asia Tour. And like all Liverpool supporters, I am thrilled! Tickets for the Liverpool versus Malaysia game on July 16 are priced RM58, RM68, RM108 and RM388.

Yesterday, Vijay (fellow lecturer and friend) went on a frantic 3-hour search for the tickets but he was luckless. Persistence finally paid off and he later managed to get his hands on the RM68 tickets (and training passes too); the RM108 tickets were already sold out.

I can't wait to see them in action on Malaysian soil! Yup, I am going too!
