Malaysia is in Very Deep Shit

Malaysia’s national infectivity rate (R0) has now reached 1.16, the culmination of a month of steady increase that has coincided with rising cases.

Yup, we even hit a new record high of daily Covid-19 infections with 11,618 cases today. This marks the second time that the number of daily cases breached the 10,000 mark after yesterday when 11,079 cases were recorded.

If we are to believe the stats.

International Medical University's Prof Dr. Lokman Hakim Sulaiman (right), an epidemiologist reckons that the actual number of daily new Covid-19 cases in Malaysia could actually be between 28,000 and 35,000, or four to five times more than official reports!

Come to think of it, has anyone verified our Covid data? Do we have confidence in the official numbers? If you ask me, I don’t trust Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah nor Dr. Adham Baba at all!

Anyway, a bizarre decision was made by the backdoor government – as Covid-19 cases stack up, they moved to establish a ‘Greater Klang Valley’ task force to supposedly make quick decisions pertaining to the runaway pandemic.

I thought they already have a national task force under the MOH!? This latest development must therefore, be seen as a confirmation that the people entrusted to do the job have screwed us up big time.

In fact, I had read that the Ministry of Health, for the first time, had admitted uncertainty on how to deal with the surging epidemic in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. What an effing joke!

Like it or not, we are obliged to call a spade a spade – that the MOH Director-General and the Health Minister and his two deputies have failed miserably in their jobs! It would appear these twats and idiots have brains that are filled with overflowing excrement.

Really, if they have any sense of honor and self-respect left in them, they would resign immediately!

Disturbing accounts by frontline medical workers about full wards and shortages of ventilators, oxygen supply, and medication in hospitals continue to be posted on social media. Of course, nobody in authority is stepping forward to confirm or deny the messed-up predicament we are in.

Today, Sarawak goes into Phase 2 under the Covid-19 National Recovery (I mean, Relapse) Plan – yet, on this same day, three new Covid clusters were detected, bringing the cumulative number of active clusters in the state to 98.

And not surprising to know that even more localities in Phase Two states go under EMCO again. I won’t spell out which states because I really don’t expect any of them to be able to put a lid on Covid, whatever phase they may be in.

Oh wait, there’s more relaxation of lockdown restrictions. All telecommunications service outlets at malls and hypermarkets have been given approval to open since Tuesday. I’m also not going to comment because it is an exercise in futility.

One thing’s for sure – we’re in very deep shit!

God help us because we cannot help ourselves, even if our lives depend on it!

And please, God, don't blame us! We certainly didn't vote for this failed government – they had shamelessly sneaked in through the back door.
