67 Million Cases

The world has ratcheted up 67 million cases and 1.5 million deaths as it is laid waste by Covid-19.

Even so, life pretty much goes on. Most countries anyway.

But for some countries, a pressing sense of desperation wraps them tightly and so, they've decided to go into overdrive and begin mass vaccinations. Russia began its campaign on Saturday and the UK will start its campaign tomorrow. The United States hopes to commence this month, as does Turkey.

Let’s hope for their citizens' sakes, the vaccine is safe and it works!

Yesterday marked a timely return of two thousand Liverpool fans as they made a beeline for Anfield to give screaming support to the team facing Wolverhampton Wanderers.

[Note: Liverpool is placed in the Tier-2 category based on Covid-19 rates, meaning up to 2,000 fans will be able to attend matches].

And of course, the players responded with the perfect performance against the latter. There was no chance of Wolves ending our now 65-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League on home soil.

Goals from Mohamed Salah (24), Georginio Wijnaldum (58), Joel Matip (67) and an own goal (78) sealed an emphatic 4-0 win. The Reds were really dominant throughout.

The end of the match was notable for the return of Jürgen Klopp’s fist pumps after victory and a big applause for the supporters from the players, rather than it being the other way around as usual.
